1. 01 FinOps Fundamentals

   What FinOps is and why it is a team sport: the six principles, who is involved, the Inform–Optimize–Operate lifecycle with Crawl–Walk–Run maturity, and how cloud providers actually charge for what you use.

2. 02 Understand Usage and Cost

   The Inform foundation: where cost data comes from and how the FOCUS specification normalises it, how tagging and accounts turn spend into owners, how to report it so people act, and how to catch cost anomalies before the invoice does.

3. 03 Quantify Business Value

   Turn cost into business language: forecast and budget cloud spend, connect it to value with unit economics and KPIs, and estimate the cost of new work before it is built.

4. 04 Optimize Usage and Cost

   The Optimize phase in practice: use less (rightsizing, idle clean-up, scheduling), pay less per unit (Savings Plans, reservations, spot), fix the storage and network costs that grow quietly, and allocate and optimise Kubernetes spend.

5. 05 Manage the FinOps Practice

   Make FinOps last: run it as an operating rhythm with clear roles, govern spend with policies and guardrails instead of approvals, move from showback to chargeback when the data is ready, and automate the repetitive work with tools.
