Modules

  1. 01 Identity – Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Users and Groups

Understand tenants, subscriptions and identities in Microsoft Entra ID, pick the right edition, then create users and groups and scope admin rights with Administrative Units.

  2. 02 Governance – Regions, Subscriptions, Policy and RBAC

Choose regions and subscriptions, track costs with tags, enforce configuration rules with Azure Policy and grant least privilege with Azure RBAC.

  3. 03 Azure Resources – Tools, Resource Manager and ARM Templates

Work with Azure through the Portal, Cloud Shell, PowerShell and the CLI; organise resources with resource groups and locks; deploy infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep.

  4. 04 Virtual Networking – VNets, IPs, NSGs, Firewall and DNS

Build VNets with non-overlapping subnets, assign public/private IPs, filter traffic with NSGs, control it centrally with Azure Firewall and resolve names with Azure DNS.

  5. 05 Network Traffic – Routing, Private Link, Load Balancer, Application Gateway

Steer traffic with route tables, reach PaaS services privately with service endpoints and Private Link, and distribute load at L4 with Load Balancer and at L7 with Application Gateway.

  6. 06 Azure Storage – Accounts, Replication, Blobs, Security and Files

Create storage accounts with the right kind and replication, store blobs by tier and lifecycle, grant access with SAS and firewalls, share files with Azure Files and move data with AzCopy.

  7. 07 Virtual Machines – Sizes, Disks, Connecting, Availability and Scale Sets

Choose a VM region, size and pricing, manage disks, create and connect securely, keep it available with availability sets/zones and scale with scale sets.

  8. 08 PaaS Compute – App Service, Container Instances and AKS

Run web apps on App Service with plans, deployment slots, security and monitoring; run containers quickly with ACI and orchestrate them at scale with AKS.

  9. 09 Azure Monitor – Metrics, Logs, Alerts, Log Analytics, Network Watcher

Collect and read metrics, logs and the Activity Log; create alerts with action groups; query Log Analytics with KQL; diagnose networking with Network Watcher.
